Description

"She's got those assets feminine
I have to make her mine
Nobility in every gene
She has to be my queen
Come, sweet Nala
It's written in the stars
We'll create a host of little Scars"

-The Madness of King Scar; TLK on Broadway

This is more of a "what if" kind of situation. What if Nala hadn't left the pride because she knew the others would starve without her ability to hunt? What if Scar had followed through and made Nala his queen? And what if it took three litters for Nala to finally produce a son?

First born was Simbi, standing just over her mother's shoulder. When she was born, Nala was still grieving for Simba, and thus, Simbi's name was found. Her name also means "to quench", which she was hoping for the Pridelands when her daughters were born. Of course, the Pridelands didn't get better. Though she was first born, Scar refused to take her as his heir, and for this, she's very resenting and angry.

Second came Sawa, who's standing next to Simbi. She was named by her grandmother, Sarafina, for how similar she looked to Nala, so Sawa means "same".

Third of the first litter was Thema, laying next to her mother, and it means "likewise", in relation to her similarities to Scar and Mufasa.

For Nala's second litter, she originally had twins, a son and a daughter, but unfortunately the male was stillborn. In her sadness, she secretly named her son Roho, meaning "spirit". She thought it unfair to send a cub to the Kings and Queens of the past without a name. While she grieved, Scar arrived and, upon seeing the female cub, named her Uri in honor of his mother Uru, for they looked very similar. Uri is the darkest cub on the other side of Nala.

And for her third, and final, litter, she was blessed with a son and a daughter, once again, and both lived. Her daughter she named Njano, for her unique yellow pelt that must have been passed down from Ahadi. She is closest to her mother in her paws.

And lastly was her son, Neye, meaning "he too" in memory of her brother Mheetu. He's laying closer toward us.

What did Roho look like? And why didn't you put him in the clouds?
